Answers to what people usually ask before booking.
Can you fix water-damaged flooring, or does it need to be replaced?
It depends on how deep the damage goes. If the water only affected a few boards, we can usually cut those out and replace them. If the subfloor underneath is damaged too, a larger section may need to come out. We’ll tell you which one you’re dealing with during the inspection.
Will the repaired area match the rest of my floor?
We do our best to match species, plank width and stain, but floors fade and darken with age, so a brand new board may look slightly different at first. Most homeowners find it blends in within a few months as the new wood settles in.
What's causing my floor to squeak?
Usually it’s a board that’s come loose from the subfloor underneath, or a gap that’s opened up between boards over time. We can often fix this from above without pulling up the whole floor.
How much does a flooring repair cost?
It depends on the size of the damaged area, the type of flooring, and what’s causing the issue. We give you a fixed price after seeing the floor in person, so there’s no guessing on either end.
Do you charge for the inspection?
No. We come look at the damage and give you a quote at no cost, with no obligation to book the repair.
